For this recipe, all you’ll need is an existing mineral foundation. I used Mg Naturals in the shade of sand beige and a lotion or thick moisturizer. For this I used my own home made moisturiser. Essentially, you’re transforming a mineral makeup into a liquid cream, and it’s Very easy. All you’ll need to do is add a few spoons of the mineral powder to a facial lotion or moisturizer. Mix it and apply! any leftovers? just spoon it into a sandwich bag and pop it in the fridge for later use!
The ingredients are surprisingly easy to find and affordable. To create your own powder foundation, you’ll need arrowroot powder, kaolin clay, cinnamon, turmeric and cocoa powder.
Here’s how to get the mixture correct for you. You’ll need equal parts kaolin clay and arrowroot powder. After that, you add the cocoa powder, turmeric and cinnamon to get your shade as close as possible to your skin tone. It’s that simple. I used about a Teaspoon of each but it's really up to you and what shade you are trying to achieve.
