The Titanium Dioxide–Free Directory

If you’re trying to avoid titanium dioxide — start here.

Why this exists

Trying to find titanium dioxide–free products shouldn’t feel like decoding a label every time you shop.

But it does.

Ingredient lists are vague. “May contain” creates confusion. And most brands don’t explain why it’s there in the first place.

So you’re left guessing.

This directory exists because we got tired of that.

Not to overwhelm you. Not to tell you what to buy. Just to make it easier to find products that align with what you’re already looking for.

Our stance

We don’t use titanium dioxide.

Not because we’re making a claim about safety — because formulating without it was a choice we made, and one we’ve stuck to.

This directory isn’t here to argue that point. It’s here for people who have already decided:

“I’d rather avoid it if I can.”

If that’s you — you’re in the right place.

A reality check (please read this first)

Formulations change.Brands reformulate. Suppliers change. Ingredient lists update.

We review every product at the time it’s added to the directory — and each listing shows the date it was last reviewed. But we can’t guarantee a product stays the same forever.

So if avoiding titanium dioxide matters to you:

always check the current ingredient list before purchasing.

This directory is a starting point. Not a final answer.

What this directory is

  • A curated list of products that did not list titanium dioxide (including under “may contain”) at the time of review
  • Organised by category so you don’t have to search endlessly
  • Built from publicly available ingredient information
  • Updated as we find and review more options

What this directory is not

  • Not a ranking
  •  Not a certification
  •  Not a safety claim
  • Not a guarantee that formulations won’t change

How products are included

Every product included has been checked manually and meets the following at the time of inclusion:

  • • Titanium dioxide is not listed as an ingredient
  • • Titanium dioxide is not listed under “may contain”
  • • The ingredient list is publicly accessible
  • • The product fits within its stated category

That’s the filter. No paid placements. No prioritisation. No exceptions.

Who this is for

This directory will likely be most helpful if you:

  • have sensitive, reactive, or easily irritated skin
  • are ingredient-conscious and want fewer unknowns
  • are shopping for children or for everyday use
  • simply prefer to avoid titanium dioxide where you can

A note from our founder

“This isn’t about telling people what to avoid. It’s about making it easier for the people who have already decided. Because once you know what you’re looking for, you shouldn’t have to fight to find it.”

— Kailah, Founder & Formulator
